Medusa EWS (Edged Weapon System)

I am instructor 133-026 in the Medusa Edged Weapon System, a self-defense method devised by Mike and Seth Raymond of Upstate New York. Medusa is a knife cult — a methodology that did not start as an empty-hand martial art to which weapons were added, but as a means of using a knife combatively. Please note that I do not use the term "cult" pejoratively or religiously. This is simply an acknowledgment of the system's nature as a weapons-first self-defense curriculum.

Yes, self-defense with a knife is legal. No, it should not be undertaken likely. Yes, you'll have to answer for your actions in court after the fact, so you'd better understand completely not just the techniques, but the context and the legal landscape surrounding armed self-defense.
